Monster Story Book 02
More thumbnails. The monsters can't be scary but I don't want them to be hairy, there were non-hairy monsters in Monsters Inc so I'm going with tentacles, not necessarily slimy. Then monkeys are difficult, and there needs to be a lot of them doing different activities and things.
Gonna have fun with the tree on this page, he's supposed to look like the grandfather, so I need a picture of him. also supposed to add EVERY character to the party scene in the igloo, so that will be intense.

I need to have the girl and fuzzy monsters collecting items from every place they go, so maybe a backpack or a pile of things that grows on every page.

New Story Book 01
Filthy thumbnails for new storybook I'm working on. Keep it gross and fast. Tried to observe the half and half rule for keeping characters on the same side of the page, when not changing scenes. First page is family, second is introduction of monsters. One sitting on a lamp, one still crawling in the window.
Now the main character travels, we see her in an igloo with polar bears, then in a snowy landscape with moose. These are so preliminary, I'm just guessing at what polar bears and moose look like, I'll do research. I need to not have the characters split by the page this way, but it is a lot easier to have them sharing ice creams than have their own. I'm going to have them circled around a campfire so I can mess with some cool fire colors on the characters.
I don't remember if I had my Wacom when I did the last book, but I definitely didn't know how to use it, so right off the bat this is going to be a huge improvement. especially for someone who doesn't think of himself as an illustrator.
