Wrapping things up!

Things are winding down on the monster book! I have some color overlay stuff that I'm going to do but these next few entrites are the shaded, near final illustrations of the book.

After seeing the 'SCRUM' system on Silicon Valley, I took to breaking down the rest of the book into tasks. Unfortunately, by the time of this posting, the post-its started to fall off the wall in the humidity, but I do have them stacked on my desk, and since there is an order to them, it makes just as much sense as a pile.

Here, I have 4 categories, Block Coloring, Flow Shading, Texture Shading, and Type. I may add one more before Type, where I add a slight color filter to every page to fool it into looking more unified. Still need to choose a font, for the book. And I'm not sure what I'll do for the cover. Supposedly I'll be done with the first three columns by Friday. If no other work comes up and I keep to task, it really could happen.

More inked up character outlines, the polar bears are probably the most realistic looking animals in the book, but that's not saying much.

Started inking in character outlines, imagine the orange lines are black, I made them orange so they would stand out.

Shrank down elements from page 3 and made the walls taller, so I can fit more characters on the page for the big party scene at the end.

Inside of the tent. Still looks pretty bare but hopefully the texture does SOMETHING for that, and I'll fill it up with monkeys and excitement.

The Forest! I have to make the big tree shaky so he can shake the milkshakes, and, as still, have to make the tree face older/more resemblant(?) of the person.

Here's that kitchen/factory with some variant colors and stuff. I don't think I like what's happening in the oven, but I don't know if I know what to do with it.

This is kind of messy and needs re-designing, I will do this but likely someone else will finish it before me. But this is my claim, staked.

I don't know if I'll fix 'cocobut products' because that is funny.

Hope it doesn't look too smudgy. The characters will standout against the world, but should still be a part of it. But it's really starting to look like a thing, now.

More of that, I still need to fill in the Bright Green areas with something. Make the window look like a window and stuff.

This process blew up the size of the files from ~150Mb all the way to ~500+Mb. So, they are getting heavy and hard to maneuver around/open and close. I might save down to a single layer PSD file when I add the characters because those will have their own mass of layers and effects to deal with.
